I've Been Adopted!

Bowser is the Watson's current foster puppy.  He is a 3-month-old collie & lab mix (maybe some chow).   This is a very playful dog!  Very much a "people" dog and loves kids.  He would do well in a home with kids, other dogs, cats or active owners.  He really seems to like kids a lot.  Like most of our fosters he really enjoys playing with Ruby (Watson dog) and is interested in our cats, but respectful.  He does lean towards a lab puppy’s energy, but with proper exercise he has been very well behaved in our house. This guy likes swimming and walking in the woods and would be great for an active outdoorsy "guardian(s)".  He is working on housetraining and we think it will take just a couple more weeks before he is accident free (well, almost).  He does well in his kennel once he settles in.  He has learned the come and sit commands in just 1 day, so we think he is very smart and will train easily.  He has been practicing leash training and is starting to understand heel.  He has started to play fetch with the frisbee.  All this in just 3 days.  He is just starting teething, but with an ample quantity of chew toys and supervision he should make it through this stage without too many incidents.  He doesn't do any "mouthing/biting" which is very good.  Once you meet this guy, you can't help but feel happy his joy is contagious.  He is going to make someone or some family an exceptional companion. Update: Bowser, a handsome lab collie mix, will be the most missed by Ruby. She really took a liking to him and they spent lots of time playing. He found a home with some kids which is great because he loves them. His new little girl takes him for plenty of walks and he is well loved. Soon he and his new family will be moving to a new home. He has visited us at the store a couple of times and still seems to remember us....I think, he loves everybody so much maybe I just imagine we are special.
